Tips for Glowing Skin

Skin is our largest organ and we should do our best to take care of it because it does so much to take care of us. Our skin protects us from harmful elements, regulates our temperatures, and permits sensation, ex. like hot and cold.


What can you do to have your skin looking and feeling its best? We have listed some quick easy steps to help you achieve glowing skin.


  1. Have a skin routine. This may seem like a no-brainer, but it is very important to have a skincare routine. The skin needs to be cleaned daily or several times a day. For best results use products that work for your skin type. You don't want to use any product that will make your skin excessively dry

  2. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Oh did we say, hydrate? Water is essential for the body to function at its best. Dehydrated skin may be dry, itchy, and look dull. The recommended daily water intake is at least 64 oz per day.

  3. Exfoliate your skin. Exfoliation is the process of removing dead skin cells from the surface of your skin. The process deeps clean the skin and work well for unclogging pores which may reduce acne flares.

  4. Protect from UV rays. Always protect your skin when outside. You can use sunscreen daily or a natural protectant like shea butter (which is in our body butter). Even though you may enjoy basking in the sunlight, the UV rays from the sun can damage skin cells.

  5. Eat Your Vitamins. You should have a well-balanced diet that includes foods that are good for the skin. Upon our research, we found a few foods that are good for the skin, avocados, salmon, and sweet potatoes.
