This part of your self-care routine is missing...

Self-care is an important part of maintaining physical and mental health. It helps us stay balanced and cope with the stressors of everyday life. Taking time for ourselves to relax, recharge, and unwind can have a positive effect on our overall well-being. Self-care can help us manage our emotions better, reduce anxiety, and depression, and even improve our relationships. It's also important to recognize that self-care looks different for everyone - it could be anything from taking a walk in nature to reading a book or practicing yoga. Whatever it is that works for you, make sure to take the time for yourself each day.
In order to maintain your own mental health, daily tasks like showering or brushing your teeth are necessary. The most key day-to-day tasks are potential triggers. For example, if you feel anxious, avoid places where you might see people or hear loud noises. If you have trouble sleeping, try turning off the lights, and don't work on anything too taxing before bedtime. Even if a normal day isn't enough to make these changes, it's still important for mental health to take care of your body on a daily basis. Seek out help. If you still have trouble sleeping after trying these tips, go talk to a therapist about what's going wrong.
Exercise, I know this is a given, but it's still worth mentioning. The best way to fight depression is by staying active. Exercise can be anything from going on a walk to playing an instrument to running around outside, and there are many benefits associated with exercising. So if you're feeling down and out, get moving!
The mental aspect of self-care is a priority for me. I have often neglected this part of my self-care routine. I was not taking time to stop and smell the roses. I was going and going until I could not go anymore, usually because I was extremely exhausted or sick. I don’t want you to be in a place where you are reactive instead of proactive with your self-care. I have created a 30- day self-care challenge for my community. The goal of this challenge is to include mental well-being in your daily self-care routine. I will share quick wellness tips you can apply to help navigate your personal self-care journey. To participate, connect with my exclusive VIP Facebook group and request to join. The challenge begins Monday, January 16th, 2023.
